Duratec Conversion Exhausts
I'm sometimes asked about this engine conversion and I haven't had the chance to work on one yet. Looking at some images on the internet, the room available for any decent manifold design appeared to be extremely limited.
On a recent visit to Daniel Koblitschek at his firm Komo-tec in Mendig, Germany I was intrigued to see his truly spectacular stainless 4-2-1 manifold design for his Duratec conversions.
An under-the-subframe design with a loop to clear the intermediate driveshaft, it allows full use of the boot area and certainly looks the part. Very nicely made with excellent TIG-welding, I'm happy to offer this 4-2-1 design for any Duratec conversion owners looking for an excellent performance manifold.
THE MANIFOLD IS SUPPLIED WITH A V-BAND FLANGE WELDED TO THE END OF THE COLLECTOR PLUS THE NECESSARY FLEXY DE-CAT TO FIT TO THE STD S1 EXHAUST.
If you need a catalyser on your Duratec install, I use HJS 200cell catalysers on all my exhausts - POA.
